If your child was brought to the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital by the Transport team, they were probably brought in our special ambulance called the STORK — Speedy Transport Of Risky Kids. A team consisting of a specially trained registered nurse, a specially trained respiratory therapist and a paramedic were caring for your child.
The Transport Team members are trained in newborn and pediatric intensive care, transport medicine and flight physiology. The team members are certified in:
The Transport Team is able to provide the highest level of quality intensive care to the critically ill or injured children we transport due to our specialized training and equipment.
