Our pediatric intensivists have an optimal environment here to care for critically ill children. With the stress level of having a critically ill child, it is important for parents to have a comfortable place to sleep and still be very close to the child.

Our PICU rooms offer sleeping space for parents and ready observation for nurses. We also have separate quiet sleeping rooms, lockers and shower facilities for PICU parents to use as needed.

The staff of our 18-bed PICU and Pediatric Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (PIICU) is prepared to provide immediate care for more than 500 referrals each year.
